Delmi Media & Entertainment is a record label located in Canada & Ghana. Their services include artist discovery, music production, content & video production, brand partnerships, event management, and music licensing. The goal for the website was to present Delmi’s portfolio, artists, latest releases, announcements/events, and provide a way for contacts / partnerships / auditions. The client needed a site that is:

Design Phase

Research & Discovery

  • Reviewed other media/entertainment/record label websites to see how they present music catalogues, artist profiles, event pages, etc.

  • Defined audience groups: fans (looking to stream / buy music), artists (looking to join / audition), partners/brands.

Informations Architecture & Wireframes

  • Site structure included pages like: Home, Our Services, Latest Updates, Artists, Events, Contact.

  • Wireframes created for Home (with sections: hero, discography, story, etc.), Artist profiles, Events listing, Contact page.

Visual Design

  • Developed brand‑appropriate visuals: bold imagery, album cover art, clean typography, good use of whitespace.

  • Designed homepage with prominent sections: latest albums/discography, “Our Story”, career/auditions, social follow links.

  • Designed artist pages, event pages. Ensured consistency in style, colours, buttons, image treatments.


Development Phase (WordPress)

Setup and Technology

  • Chosen WordPress for its flexibility and ease of maintenance.

  • Selected or built a theme (custom theme or child theme) that matches the Figma designs.

  • Plugins used might include:

    • Audio / playlist embedding (for music tracks / albums)

    • Event management (listing upcoming events)

    • Contact forms for inquiries, auditions, partnerships

    • Media gallery for images/videos

    • SEO, caching, performance optimization

Implementation

  • Converted design into functional WordPress theme: templates for homepage, services, artist profile, events, etc.
