project details

Aluxria is an Australian company that designs and delivers premium, transportable cabins and retreats tailored for both residential and commercial use. With a focus on elegance, sustainability, and structural resilience (cyclone-rated, bushfire-compliant), Aluxria provides high-end solutions for off-grid living, holiday rentals, and backyard spaces. The website was developed to showcase their growing portfolio, highlight their design/build philosophy, and serve as a point of contact for potential clients and partners.
The client required a website that would:

Design Phase

1. Research & Discovery

We reviewed websites across the architecture, prefab housing, and luxury lifestyle sectors to understand how visual storytelling is used to build trust and convey premium quality. Special attention was given to competitors in Australia’s tiny home and modular cabin market.

Audience personas were defined as:

  • Homeowners / Buyers seeking premium tiny homes or secondary dwellings

  • Hospitality business owners (e.g., Airbnb hosts, retreat operators)

  • Architects & developers seeking modular or off-grid living solutions

2. Information Architecture & Wireframing

We mapped a simple but strategic site structure to make exploration easy and intuitive:

  • Pages included: Home, Our Cabins, Services, About Us, Blog/Updates, Contact

  • Wireframes were created for key templates including:

    • Hero section with value proposition

    • “Lux Collection” with expandable details

    • Gallery-driven “Inspiration” and “Completed Projects” sections

    • Informational areas like fire ratings, cyclone compliance, and customisation options

3. Visual & Brand Design

Alongside the website, we developed Aluxria’s brand identity:

  • Logo Design: A modern, geometric mark paired with elegant serif/sans-serif typography to convey luxury and structure

  • Colour Palette: Earth tones (sand, stone, forest green) with rich black and soft neutrals for balance

  • Typography: A clean and luxurious type hierarchy that feels modern but timeless

  • Visual Elements: Use of full-width lifestyle imagery, architectural renders, and animated transitions to tell the story of comfort and craftsmanship

All high-fidelity page designs were created in Figma, allowing for easy prototyping, feedback, and responsive testing before development.

Development Phase (WordPress)

1. Setup & Technology

  • CMS Chosen: WordPress, for its ease of content management and flexibility

  • A custom theme was developed based on the approved Figma design

  • Key plugins integrated included:

    • Contact form (for client inquiries and project discussions)

    • Image and video gallery plugins (optimized for performance)

    • SEO & caching tools to ensure fast load times and search visibility

    • Custom post types for cabins and blog updates

2. Implementation

  • Fully responsive front-end development ensured optimal performance across mobile, tablet, and desktop

  • Developed templates for:

    • Cabin collections (with image galleries, specs, and enquiry CTAs)

    • Updates/news to share progress or industry insights

    • Contact page with interactive form and location details

  • Performance optimizations included lazy-loading of images, image compression (WebP), and mobile-specific enhancements

  • SEO best practices were applied (structured metadata, semantic HTML, alt text for images)

Key Features

  • Cabin Showcase: Dedicated pages for each cabin type (e.g. “Lux Collection”, “Backyard Beauties”) with rich visuals and specifications

  • Brand Storytelling: “Our Story” section and values-driven messaging throughout

  • Contact & Inquiries: Custom form setup for both residential and commercial leads
